CCU2: Which elements from the new "IP" range does it support

Hello,

I have a broken movement detector (HM-Sen-MDIR-O-2).
As this type of detector is discontinued I'm searching for a new model compatible with my CCU2.

So more globally, which new elements from the "CCU3/IP" line can the old CCU2 support ?

Tx !

It is a bit uncertain. Normally you can use all HMIP devices with a CCU2, but since support for the CCU2 has been discontinued, new revisions of devices no longer work with the CCU2. And EQ3 doesn't communicate very openly, so you have to look for little clues like a "-2" or "-A" or something else to identify a revised device. Good luck...

Best bet is to activate/access "DevConfig" on the CCU2.
Under "Device Types" all supported Devices are listed.

Check carefully the exact name like @Michael mentioned.

The original HmIP-Pendant to the HM-Sen-MDIR-O-2 ist the:
HmIP-SMO (white)
HmIP-SMO-A (anthrazit)

Just "Google" a little bit.
I don't have a CCU2.

Go to Settings -> System Control
There you'll find a button "devconfig"

I don't know for sure if the button is there by default, afaik you have to enable it or access the devconfig menu manually: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=26624

The easiest way is to open an ssh session and create a file tweaks with this command:

echo CP_DEFCONFIG=1 >>/etc/config/tweaks

Then you can find an new entry DefConfig in Settings > Control Panel (maybe after logout/login).

So indeed 4 of those seem to be supported by the CCU2:
HmIP-SMO
HmIP-SMO-2
HmIP-SMO-A
HmIP-SMO-A-2

which is strange as ELV just replied that none of those could work with the CCU2 ?!
