Some DIY would be fine, true
Unfortunately my German isn't that good so quite a few of the posts are a little to hard to 'assimilate'...

Re: Newbie start with Homematic CCU3: Initiation
If I understood correctly you want to build a complete systeem that should work WITHOUT the CCU, correct? To be honest, I don't think that might be possible, or entirely possibe :-) But is that really an issue? (And is that still your purpose?) I mean, the heater itself is a single point of failure,...

CCU3
The pro's and cons of the new CCU3 are a bit unclear to me. Can someone explain... For example, does the CCU3 require 'cloud' or will it work standalone, even without a cloud / internet connection active? Is it faster than the CCU2? Would there be a reason to replace a CCU2 with a CCU3? I find the i...

Re: HM-CC-RT-DN valve CAL and other error detection
After playing around with all different error detection mechanisms my conclusion can only be this: 1. CAL errors simply do not generate an error message, this is a problem on the valve side. 2. The CCU2 gets confused when trying to process other alarms from the valve. No matter what combination I tr...

Re: Switch boiler HomematicIP
Remco, my set up seems to be very similar to what you are trying to do. (I didn't spot your message, otherwise I would have posted earlier. I hope you fixed it, if not I might be able to help you.) I open up the main valve (city heating net / 'stadsverwarming') whenever one of the valves opens more ...

Re: Logging data
I can actually tell you that I had a look at IObroker some time ago. I'll have another look at it (if it is easy to install and run it might be interesting as a more flexible alternative to the CCU2). Which still doesn't invalidate my question, as I also want to know what is the beast / easiest solu...

Logging data
I'm a little surprised there seems to be no 'standard' function to log data, so some work is required. Does anyone have a good suggestion of keeping a log of certain data? Here's what I want to do: - log temperature a radiator valve (2x) - log valve position of a radiator valve (2x) - log a switch p...

Re: Why did you choose Homematic (IP) in your country?
Country: Netherlands It was the only (affordable) system (at the time) I could find that would allow me to control my heater (city heating valves) without going all-out into domotica systems... Reasons: + wireless (no space for additional cabling) + must support radiator valves as well as power swit...
