Roomba mit eingebautem WLAN

habe ich nicht probiert. Wende mir erstmal an den Händler. Vermutlich werde ich das machen, wenn ich das selbe Modul zurück bekomme (oder ein Austausch) und das Problem immer noch existiert.

Ist schon komisch... ich denke an Firmware oder Hardwareproblem

Hi Bernd,

I have 4 Roomba's with a Thinking Cleaner at home and 2 in our office and i have not seen the issue here ever. Both units have a different IP address and should not have anything to do with each other. What you describe may be a firmware issue but is has nothing to do with multiple units.

1) Which firmware is in the Thinking Cleaner?
2) What Roomba model are they on?
3) What is the email address you use to log in on our server? If i know i can activate a firmware update for your Thinking Cleaners.

Hallo Bernd,

"Ihr RMA Prozess wurde abgeschlossen und die defekten Produkte wurden repariert oder durch neue ersetzt. Die Produkte werden heute an Sie verschickt und Sie erhalten daraufhin eine E-Mail mit der Sendungsverfolgungsnummer. ". Die Meldung kam zwei Minuten nachdem ich die Info erhalten habe "Paket ist eingegangen". Denke da wurde ohne zu prüfen ein Austausch geschickt. Nun hoffe ich einfach nur, dass es kein Firmwarebug ist. Sonst habe ich das gleiche Problem noch einmal ;-(

Werde berichten. Denke am Wochenende weiß ich evtl. schon mehr

Sorry about my late reply.
Versions above 1.0.93 have a special setting for the new iRobot firmware, the setting can be found in the web-app options page. Unfortunately they made several firmwares for 600, 700 and 800 models and these all have a different response to our Thinking Cleaner commands which makes it very difficult. We have been struggling with these firmware issues for a long time. We think iRobot made a few programming mistakes because some of the new Roombas respond differently when sleeping off the dock, sleeping on the dock or during cleaning. So we had to make our firmware adapt itself to the states the Roomba is in.

V1.0.103 is the first with most issues solved for the different versions of new iRobot firmwares (models produced after 2-11-2015). If you have older firmware and you are happy with the current Thinking Cleaner firmware you have, then you better not update at all. If you have a new Roomba you will want to update to V1.0.103.
V1.0.102 does still have some issues, so i would advice to update to V1.0.103.

Another issue we have is that we found out that firmware updates can sometimes go wrong during cleaning. The problem is that the vacuum motor of Roomba is creating a lot of EMC noise which can corrupt a wifi data packet. So we decided some time ago not to do automatic updates anymore.

To activate the update make sure Roomba is on the dock and go to the web-app options page, set auto-update to ON and the press the restart button. Normally the update will install itself within 15 minutes.
