gelöst! - HM-LC-Sw1PBU-FM defekt oder anderes Problem?

Hallo zusammen,

auch bei mir hat es in den letzten Tagen einen "zickigen" HM-LC-Sw1PBU-FM gegeben (schnelles Abschalten nach Schaltversuch). Auf der Suche nach anderen Lösungen ausser Aktor tauschen bin ich hier wie schon so oft schnell fündig geworden

Wie im Parallelthread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=59176&hilit=HM+LC+Sw1PBU+FM beschrieben habe ich flugs den C26 gegen einen 10u/50V aus der Bastelkiste getauscht, und Aktor läuft wieder!

Tipp: wenn man den alten C26 vorsichtig nach oben wegzieht, kann man die Beinchen gut trennen und den neuen C liegend von oben anlöten - genug Platz, und für die Platine "sicherer".

I do this in English because my German is not that good. I have a HM-LC-Sw1PBU-FM (I actually have a lot of them, 14 to be exact) as well that seems to suffer from the same kind of issues. As far as I understand from this thread I have to physically remove (unsolder) a component and replace it with a new one?!?!?! The installation is about 6 years old now and, although I'm pretty handy, I wasn't expecting this kind of trouble (at least not so soon, more like 15 to 20 years from now).
The physical switch is hardly ever used, it is the CCU program that switches it (on by sun set and off by sun rise). Is there an option that this issue is software related? And if this switch is dying how long till the others will? That will cost me a fortune!

Yes, you need to replace a capacitor in the power supply part.

Is there an option that this issue is software related?

In this case the replacement of the capacitor had no effect. But it has in many (most of all) cases, so I think, thats the only solution.

I found a replacement in the topic mentioned: X7R1206 10U
However this one seems to be in limited supply, I can only order one from Reichelt and it costs me €6,95 to send it. Are there any other alternatives that I can use?

This is a SMD-type and needs additional work to connect it. You can use as an alternative any ceramic capacitor with identical electrical parameters. Ceramic capacitors are mostly specified for higher temperatures. The temperature inside the casing is the main reason for the failure of the capacitor. Unfortunately, the manufacturer installed the cheapest variant of capacitors.

In this case it's better to ask somebody to assist you. It's very tricky. It is difficult to solder because of the small soldering areas and the SMD components nearby. This video gives you an idea of the work to do. In the description of video you can find suitable types. It's very important to use capacitors specified for higher temperatures (105°C). Your link shows a 85°C type. In two years you have the same problems again.
