Best choice for homematic IP module

Hi all,

I did my best to find the answer before posting here. I'm busy with planning to build my own smarthome solution since my current provider will stop services end of this year. In my current setup I use homematic IP for heating valves and an anna thermostat from plugwise and some several zigbee devices.

I already have 2 raspberry pi 3 b+ boards. For the zigbee part of the setup I'm going to use domotics with zigate. For homematic IP I'm planning to use raspberrymatic. I already found out that there is a possibility to let domoticz talk with raspberrymatic using an API.

My main concern is that I'm a bit lost in which board is best to for the connectivity between the raspberry pi and the homematic IP thermostats.
I use the HmIP-eTRV-2 thermostats. I think one of these 2 boards should do the trick

The first one is twice as expensive as the second one but I don't know/understand what the difference is between those 2. Hopefully someone can help me with this.
