------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personal note since the last November 2018 firmware updates we will have from now on differences between CCU2 and CCU3:

CCU2 Firmware in the future:
- Firmware Update will provide Bug corrections
- some Homematic IP devices will be included

CCU3 Firmware in the future:
- Firmware Update will provide Bug corrections
- new Homematic IP devices will be included especially HmIP Wired
- new security functionalties
- updated API interface
- new functionality to permanently disable generation of service messages for selected devices. Now user can disable all service messages for a device
- a much improved source code editor functionality for the "Test script" and general Script Editor functionality when creating WebUI programs using ReGa-scripts
- and much more functionalities...

For coming updates check also the RaspberryMatic Changelog - the changes will be integrated in the long run also in the CCU3 firmware:

Beim Versuch, das Update einzuspielen, erscheint die Fehlermeldung "Die hochgeladene Datei enthält keine gültige Software".

This is the english corner - please in english.

Probably you used Safari and it unpacked it. Dont unpack it and upload the whole file to CCU3.

Here a good YouTube clip in German what to do or don’t do:

Out of curiosity: What is the source of the paragraph "General Info since the last November 2018 firmware updates ..."? The official (german) changelog doesn't include that.

...than please mark this as personal note!

That can be an issue discussed in Kassel next month, but for now there are no official statements for that.

Zur leichteren Hilfestellung bitte unbedingt beachten:
  • Bezeichnung (HM-... bzw.

3. CCU2 per VPN mit ~40 Geräten (geplant: RaspberryMatic auf CCU3)
CCU1, Test-CCU2, Raspi 1 mit kleinem Funkmodul, RaspberryMatic als VM unter Proxmox, Access Point,...

Updated :D

Just one hint that HmIP Wired will be not supported in CCU2 is already official and with the latest CCU2 firmware eg. those topics were not part:
- updated API interface
- new functionality to permanently disable generation of service messages for selected devices. Now user can disable all service messages for a device
- a much improved source code editor functionality for the "Test script" and general Script Editor functionality when creating WebUI programs using ReGa-scripts
...

And my personal thought is that this will continue like before it was the case for CCU1 firmware vs CCU2 fimware  until CCU1 Firmware Updates died.

One important information for all RaspberryMatic Users, HmIP WIRED is only possible with a RPI-RF-MOD !!!

This is nothing specific to RaspberryMatic. The same applies to the CCU3 firmware. HmIP-Wired connectivity is bound to using a RPI-RF-MOD rf module.
