Presence detection with LAN PING to smartphone with CuxDaemon

is described a method for presence detecting (peoples, devices etc...) over LAN/WLAN with PING and CuxDaemon.

Could you somehow summarize in english? Any nice tutorial for beginners? My German language level is very poor

There are some uncertainties, such as in the thread says "PING", but in my CuxDaemon it creates "SWITCH", and "ALIVE = TRUE" vs. "Switching status=ON" etc.

Including some program demo in some optimized version ...

I would like to control 2-3 phones ...

Just for interest, I read the main home present information from a keychain, that was unlocked (unarm and Keymatic).

But I also needed to know who exactly is at home for the individualized startup of other electrical appliances (eg photo frames)...

It would be great if HomeMatic would have a native function for ping, so we wouldn't have to resort to Cuxdeamon...

I like the Addon soltions for CCU / RaspberryMatic

For Ping also Redmatic Addon (install first) is possible - just Google than for Node Red and Ping.
