HomeMatic Heating Summer Schedule
Now that the cold weather is almost gone, I'm looking for a simple way to set my HM-IP system into a "summer mode". This would reduce the temperature on all heating groups (thermostats & TRVs) so that all the valves remain shut, which would then prevent the heating being triggered. This should also save the batteries in the TRVs as the valves will not be moved, apart from the weekly cycle.
On the GUI I can see a number of choices - Manual Mode, Holiday Mode and Off. I'm not too sure about the difference apart from the Holiday Mode can be set for a range of dates.
Has anyone tried to automate this process so that a single button will cycle through all the groups and set the appropriate mode?

Re: HomeMatic Heating Summer Schedule
I have been thinking on the same, for me it appears more interesting to switch heating profile for devices, for example via Heating Group.
It would be great to hear suggestions from more experienced folks, covering HM and HmIP devices..

Re: HomeMatic Heating Summer Schedule
- Automatic Mode - than it heats according to your time schedule in the WebUI
- Manual Mode - you can change the temperature only manually on the device (on the hardware or with an App) - time schedule is no longer active than
- Holiday Mode - you set a Holiday temperature in the WebUI e.g. 17 degrees - possible scenrio with one trigger to e.g. set off all lamps and set all devices to holiday mode - I don't know for what people really use it
- Off - than its completely off - no heating
In the last years in the summer I changed all radiatore always to "Off"- and they stayed the way for 5months.

Re: HomeMatic Heating Summer Schedule
My 'summer' / 'winter' mode is, well, the same
As my system is entirely temperature driven, it simply doesn't kick in on higher temperatures. I never understood the need for different summer / winter modes...

Re: HomeMatic Heating Summer Schedule
FYI - you don’t need to create any own programs or use Redmatic on the CCU, normally the heating profiles per device or heating group are more than enough
Also check chapter 20 and what are groups in “WebUI English Manual - EN Version 0.4”

Re: HomeMatic Heating Summer Schedule
Frankly, I do not understand the question. Your system only heats when it is too cold, and in the summer it's warm enough, so why would there be different summer and winter modes?
(Unless you do adaptive heating based on outside temperature, but otherwise...)
Could you please explain?

Re: HomeMatic Heating Summer Schedule
Where I live, Summer temperatures can drop low enough to trigger the heating for short intervals. That is what I'm trying to avoid. I have setup a switch in Home Assistant that activates Summer Mode by setting all HomeMatic devices to Off.
