Dear all,
I would ask if anyone know the compatibility of HmIP-WHS2 Homematic IP Actuator with the OpenTherm protocol.
In the documentation I read "This allows comfortable and demand-based regulation of the room and water temperature according to your personal needs via the Homematic IP smartphone app".
Does this means OpenTherm compatibility?
The OpenTherm protocol is used to dinamically modify water heating temperature based on indoor and outdoor temperature instead of switch the boiler on/off
Cheers
Simone
ps: I beg your pardon for my bad english.

Hi,
I guess opentherm is with Homematic IP Products not possible but you can use diffent brands and combine them e.g. with iobroker, Home Assistant, Openhab etc. - they can do much more than opentherm !! But you need an Access Point, CCU3 or 868hz USB Stick (with HmIP protocol) to control the device.
