Heater Thermostat HmIP-eTRV-2

Beitrag von laschatz » 26.02.2021, 15:23

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me what I've done wrong by looking at my Log?:

It seems the only way I can get the Valve to close is by opening the window. Why is the valve staying open past the set temperature?

Thanks for any tips.

Larry

If you're only using the valve-thermostat without a wall-thermostat it's normal it's still open, even if the temperatur is slightly aboute the set-temperature.
As the measurement is done right beside the radiator it's the warmest place in the room.

With a wall-thermostat that behavior changes, as it's assumed that the set-temperature should be reached there.

Thank you for that input Sven_A.

The actual issue I had was that the room was indeed extremely warm. The feedback I received from the eq3 team was very similar to your explanaition. The solution was to measure the temperature with another thermostat placed somewhere else in the room and then use the difference between the set temp and the actual temp and enter this in the offset setting of the device. In my case it was 2°. It worked, seems like a rather easy fix, hope this helps someone in the future.

Cheers,

Larry
