Access Point - automation by electricity stock price

Beitrag von romulus » 08.12.2021, 09:38

I'm trying to automate heating (electrical radiator) of my workshop based on the stock price of the electricity. I'm using Homematic IP Access Point (HMIP-HAP) + Switch Actuator (HmIP-FSM) + temperature sensor. In the Homematic app I don't see any option to automate based on stock price. Has anyone done something like this? So basically I want to program the switch so that "if stock price is less than x eur/MWh" AND "temp is less than x C" THEN turn ON. And another automation to turn it off once temp is over x C OR stock price is over some amount.

I guessing I'm not the only one thinking about such solution, since electricity prices all over Europe are skyrocketing. In our region (Estonia) the difference can be pretty much 10 times between different times during the day.

The simple answer is if you don't see the option, there is no such option. ;)

So basically I want to program the switch so that "if stock price is less than x eur/MWh" AND "temp is less than x C" THEN turn ON.
The only solution would be to use the CCU instead of the Access Point.
Here you could list the various rates according to times, or you can perhaps even import the rates from another source.

PS: Greetings to Estonia, nice country, want to visit again! ;)
Zur leichteren Hilfestellung bitte unbedingt beachten:
  • Bezeichnung (HM-... bzw.

3. CCU2 per VPN mit ~40 Geräten (geplant: RaspberryMatic auf CCU3)
CCU1, Test-CCU2, Raspi 1 mit kleinem Funkmodul, RaspberryMatic als VM unter Proxmox, Access Point,...
