Floor heating pump switch actor

Beitrag von samuellazea » 13.11.2022, 18:50

Hello,

I am looking for and switch that can switch the pump ON and OFF from a ‎HmIP-FAL230. Basically I want a switch that I can program like this. If ‎HmIP-FAL230 pump is needed/ON and if a temperature variable is higher then 30 degrees then turn ON the actual pump. For this I was looking at FSM-16 but don't know if it's the right device for the job. Would like if possible to have direct connection with the FAL but I can also have a program for this in case this it's not possible

Thank you in advance for the help

When I built my own floor heating system, I used a regular switch actor and regular valves, as this unit wasn't available at the time.

Looking at the description of this unit I'm a little surprised. Can't, for example, channel 1 not be used to switch on / off a pump?

From the manual: ' Connect a heating pump using connecting terminal (H). '

You have me a little confused now. Can't you use terminal H?

The channel 1 is indeed for pump and that is how I have it connected but you can't automate that one. You can't make it start only after a condition. It will start the pump whenever there is a need

Oh, I see.

Yeah, that's how I set up my own system.

Thermostat 1 -> CCU2 -> Valve 1
Thermostat 2 -> CCU2 -> Valve 2
Any Valve > 5% open -> CCU2 -> Power Actuator -> Pump

I don't know if you can actually control individual valves on your ‎HmIP-FAL230 (I don't have that one). If you can you could simply use a regular power actuator and some CCU programming.
