Radiator equipment selection in Europe

I would like to set up a home automation system on my heating radiators in Luxembourg. I work in controls engineering, so I've got some experience with what I want to do, but I don't know much about the market here in Europe. I'd just like a few opinions before I spend 200E on equipment.

1) Aside from the ELV FHT thermostatic controllers, are there any other brands?
2) Does the FHT8i work well with the FHT8b? I would like to individually control each radiator according to a system identification of my apartment
3) What's the best place to buy? Is it only mail-order, or can you buy them in stores?
4) I need 4 radiator controllers, but no wall programmer units (I will us the FHT8i). I see that you can buy 4 FHT8b individually, but that costs more than buying the FHT 8 Spar-Set 3 with three radiator controllers. Is there really no way to buy just a pack of FHT8b and save the money (and waste)?

Any answers in English (or German that is easy to understand) are much appreciated!
