HB-RF-MOD externe Antenne

Hallo,

Im Zuge des Umbaus des RPI-RF-MOD auf das HB-RF-USB verbaue ich ein Pigtail für eine externe Antenne.
In zwei verschiedenen Beiträgen habe ich 2 verschiedene Lötpunkte für die Masse des Pigtails gesehen...

Einmal wurde das Pigtail am Gehäuse des Chips und einmal direkt neben dem Anschluss für den Innenleiter verlötet.

Ist beides möglich oder sollte man besser zu einem davon tendieren ?

Hi,

beides ist möglich, ich würde aber zur zweiten Variante tendieren: Um an das Blech zu lötrn, braucht man deutlich mehr Hitze, das kann schädlich für das Funkmodul sein. Zum anderen kann man die ungeschirmte Strecke deutlich kürzer machen, das sieht man auf den Bilder ja recht gut.

Hi,

Habe die GPIO-Leiste des HB-RF-USB nun verlötet und das RPI-RF-MOD aufgesteckt.

Dabei habe ich die Chance genutzt und ein Pigtail anstatt der originalen Antenne am RPI-RF-MOD verlötet. Dabei hatte ich Probleme, den Außenleiter mit der Masse am RPI-RF-MOD stabil zu verlöten (neben dem Anschluss für den Innenleiter am Befestigungspunkt der originalen Antenne).
Deshalb versuchte ich, die Masse am großen silbernen Chipgehäuse zu verlöten. Das funktionierte anfangs gar nicht, erst mit deutlich mehr Hitze.

Letztlich habe ich alles verbaut und via USB angeschlossen und die Stromversorgung des RPi direkt hergestellt sowie die Versorgung über das Modul herausgezogen.

Die piVCCU3 fährt anstandslos hoch, meldet keine Fehler und scheint alles zu empfangen.

Gibt es einen Test, den ich laufen lassen zur Überprüfung der Funktionsfähigkeit aller Komponenten (GPIO alle sauber verbunden?)?

Und, wie würde ich es merken, wenn die externe Antenne nicht vollständig funktioniert? Befürchtung wäre unnötige Mehrstrahlung oder ablösende Masselötstelle bei heißem Modul ?

Vielleicht kann jemand dazu etwas sagen?

Falls Du Zweifel an den Lötstellen hast, hilft erst mal visuelle Inspektion der Lötstellen und ggf sanftes ziehen an den Kabeln. Das müssen die Lötstellen überstehen. Dann folgt die Langzeitbeobachtung im Betrieb. Aber das ergibt sich von selbst.
Ansonsten ist der erste Funktionstest schon bestanden. Alles wird empfangen. Du kannst jetzt noch einen transportablen Sender (z.B. Tür- Fenster-Kontakt) nehmen, und mit Deinem Smartphone über WebUI dessen Status beobachten. Dann immer wieder schaltend durch das Haus gehen und schauen, ob die Reichweite ausreicht. Mehr kannst Du ohne teure Messgeräte etc. nicht wirklich tun.

Einfach das System locker - aber nicht übertrieben intensiv - beobachten. Am ehesten merkst Du das über die Nichtfunktion. Einige Geräte melden sich nicht oder funktionieren nicht mehr. Wenn das immer häufiger wird und sich ausbreitet oder schlagartig gar nichts mehr geht, dann mußt Du wieder ran. Oder wenn der DutyCycle hoch geht und hoch bleibt. Aber das wirst Du ohne Aufzeichnung nicht wirklich merken. Mehr kannst Du nicht wirklich tun.
Dabei das System aber nicht paranoid überwachen und nicht jede Einzelfehlermeldung zu ernst nehmen. Ich habe bei mir sehr gute Funkverhältnisse geschaffen. Dennoch gibt es immer wieder eine Servicemeldung eines (alten) Drehgriff Fensterkontakts, der aber tadellos funktioniert. Besonders die frühen HM-Geräte haben einige Bugs in der Firmware. Das ist eben dem Pioniercharakter des früheren Nischendaseins geschuldet. Manchmal muß man mit der Homematic und dem Funk geduldig und großherzig sein.

Okay, ich werde vorsichtshalber von den Lötstellen Photos machen...

Ist es normal, dass das blaue Licht des RPI-RF-MOD irgendwann ausschaltet? Bisher hatte es immer geleuchtet, seit eben nicht mehr.
Die CCU beschwert sich aber auch nicht... die Frage ist, ob die CCU3 es merken würde oder der Raspberry den USB-Port zum HB-RF-USB ggf in einen Energiesparmodus versetzt hat.

Nein, das ist nicht normal. Schau mal in der Ausgabe von dmesg ob da irgendwas mit Undervoltage steht.

Vorhin war die blaue Lampe des externen Moduls ausgeschaltet, die CCU3 hat jedoch keine Fehler angezeigt.
Öffnete ich ein Fenster, hatte der Kontakt keine Veränderung gemeldet.

Jetzt gerade, nach dem Update auf 3.47.10 und einem Neustart leuchtet das Modul noch und auch die Sensor-Veränderung wird registriert.

Im Vergleich zum gestrigen Tage, an dem das Modul extern problemlos lief, habe ich ein ca. 10-12m langes RJ45-CAT7-Kabel als Verlängerung dazwischen geschaltet.

Ich hoffe, die Ausgabe von dmesg hilft... undervoltage kann ich nicht sehen, aber das Modul leuchtet auch noch - es hatte heute Morgen erst nach einiger Zeit scheinbar den Strom verloren bzw. leuchtete nicht mehr:

Aber, was ist zu tun, wenn undervoltage auftreten würde ? Einen Verstärker würde ich ungern zwischenschalten wollen. Ggf. schaltet der Pi doch einen USB schlafend ? Oder, und da wundere ich mich... vorher betrieb ich das RPI-RF-MOD auf den Raspberry GPIOs und versorgte das Modul mit Strom über das 3A-Netzteil von ELV. Jetzt, wo einzig der Raspberry via microUSB Strom direkt erhält, wird ja das schwächere Original-Netzteil mit 2.5A genutzt. Müsste man hier ggf. ein stärkeres Netzteil anschliessen ? Oder hätte das keinen Einfluss auf die USB-Ports ?

Hi,

was meinst du damit, dass du 10-12m CAT7 Kabel zwischengehängt hast? Und meinst du nicht, dass es sinnvoll gewesen wäre, diese Info gleich zu nennen?

Das Kernel Modul verhindert, dass das Modul in einen Schlafmodus geschickt wird. Allerdings ist im Raspberry eine Logik drin, welche den USB Port bei einer Undervoltage hart abschaltet und genau deswegen solltest du da per dmesg im Kernel Log nachschauen. Das bringt natürlich nichts mehr, nachdem das durch einen Neustart gelöscht wurde.

Okay, ich warte ab, bis der Fehler erneut auftritt und führe dmesg nochmals aus.

Ich hatte gestern das externe Modul direkt per USB am RPi dran, um die Funktionsfähigkeit zu testen.
Letztlich soll der RPi im anderen Stockwerk als das Modul mit externer Antenne stehen, weshalb ich nun im zweiten Schritt den empfohlenen USB-Extender und 10-12m CAT7-Kabel zwischen Modul und Raspberry habe.

Sollte jetzt der Moduls der Deaktivierung des Moduls erneut auftreten, würde ich ein 3A-Netzteil anschliessen wollen.
